I'm not sure why it couldn't appear too unless Disney wants to sell it separately or something. :P
You know that the enhanced remake, with a press of a button, can turn into the old environment, right? That aside, the original was something else entirely, even with its lack of speech. That 8-bit tuned themes are still the stuff of legend! Me wanna! I want the bounty pack, the original 1+2 CD compilation! GimmE! Signed pet.
Voted.
backed!

Personally I don't really care but others have said they really want the original versions, whatever GOG can bring, as they have multi-language support and some other differences.

We should care... The originals are all time classics! It is a real shame their version isn't here (yet). Monkey Island should have at least the Broken Sword treatment... Which is, the original version, as an extras, bonus download...
kind of pointless really but what the hell...
I voted, but I'm not sure that will accomplish much. Like I said, GOG is very spotty when it comes to missing content and versions. We could get it next week or we could get it never. Maybe if you have a CD copy, send it to GOG, since often times what they're building installers from is what they physically have on their shelves. Maybe this is another one of those instances where they said "look, we gave you a decent alternative, that's good enough" like they did with Larry 6.

Honest question: are missing versions enough reason for you to avoid purchasing certain games or game compilations here?

I'm a believer in "voting with your wallet" and letting GOG know why you didn't buy a compilation but at the same time trying to see things from their perspective (they might have a lot to do overall so this gets put on the backburner for quite some time).

Usually no, because I'm so quick on the draw I don't know about missing content or versions until AFTER the sale is done. I didn't buy SoMISE because it was missing a SCUMMVM-run original, but that's because I already have multiple versions of SoMISE already.

Fair enough.

By "original" people mean the floppy version (you can switch to the CD version in game) which was slightly different than the CD release.
No idea why they don't do this. It took me 2 minutes to extract the data files and put them into scummvm to play on my mac. Just wrap it into an installer and throw in a generic icon. Same goes for tons of Sierra stuff they sell here.
