Is there any way to stop this game from throwing a UAC prompt whenever you start it (short of disabling UAC. I'll uninstall the game before I do that. It only cost me $3 so it's not like I'm hugely invested in it)? It more or less makes the game unplayable on my setup.

I found the solution: the game is set to run in XP SP2 compatibility mode by default. disabling that made it UAC free and able to be launched without needing to touch a keyboard/mouse :D
