I mean, there doesn't seem to be Any improvement in performance compared to when i played it back in 2013 on an old quad core, my current cpu has double the core's and almost a whole extra GHZ to work with so is the implementation bundled with mirrors edge just bad?

Honestly, PhysX doesn't even work on Nvidia using Windows 10. When glass shatters in the game my screen just freezes and eventually the game crashes. I have a PC from 2017 that should run Mirror's Edge without any performance issues.

The game is capped at 62 Fps, to uncapp it you need to modify the config file and make your desired value on MaxSmoothedFrameRate

Config file is located on: Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config\TdEngine.ini

Edit: Just tried the final scene and I got between 200 and 250 Fps.
