vic11con: My hate for creepers is growing with every passing day. Last night, I completed my building after spending almost 3 days on it. A creeper walked in out of nowhere, exploded and apart from killing me, destroyed the whole building.

I’ve faced similar incidents in the past and I’m just not able to kill them most times, as there’s only a few seconds you get before they explode. A lot of times I’m just AFK, and when I come back everything’s over, all thanks to the creeper.

Somebody please share your tricks, experiences or anything that would help me face creepers.

juxwillx: Dude!! I can relate to it on so many levels. I’ve hated creepers since the beginning, man. The worst part is they just tend to appear anywhere, from villages, to caves and even sometimes on the ground. Ugh!! Literally no limit, but I do what I have to, to help.

What I usually do is place a few cats nearby when I‘m building something. Creepers are extremely scared of cats and will run away instantly. If you’re in your safehouse, you can even place a few torches or something as creepers don’t spawn in places with good lighting.

I’ve known about torches for a long time but didn’t know creepers were scared of cats. It’ll be really helpful. Do you know any other similar tricks to stay away from creepers or maybe kill them? Just share it all with me, in desperate need for help?

juxwillx: No problem mate, you learn something new every day. If you don’t want creepers or any other mobs at all, you can just go to settings and turn on mob griefing. But the catch is, you won’t win any trophies if you turn it. Also, get a bow and arrow because you can’t do much when the creeper is near you, but with a bow and arrow you can just kill it from far itself.

vic11con: You’re right, I’ve just always fought with the creepers by punching them and most times they just blast even before I land a couple of punches.

juxwillx: IKR, killing them with just punches seems really a difficult task, even more difficult if you don’t have a good CPS, I try to keep a good CPS but fingers get tired, sometimes I use a clicker..

vic11con: Totally. One last thing, what do you do to take care of creepers when you’re AFK? I mean you can’t be present to protect your structure all the time, right? With me mostly, they attack when I’m AFK. And what’s a clicker? Whatever you use, tell me everything I need help.

juxwillx: For this, I use a macro recording tool, the clicker I was talking about. It basically acts as your mouse and clicks for you. I just record a sequence of fighting with the creepers, save it and then play it whenever I’m AFK. You can do the same thing man, everybody does it, I also learnt it from these games twitch streams, you can download the tool from this site. Hope I was able to help you out. But honestly creepers keep the fun alive, you realize that when you turn them off.
