*SPOILERS*

Note: I am playing the Enhanced Edition.

In the Night Meadow Level (The one that starts out foggy and where all of the portals are on top of hills), I am unable to teleport to the upper portal that leads to the bridge. The glowing ball is in the "rain" rocks area, the non-glowing ball is in the glowing field (portal activators), and no matter which of the 3 meadow portals I use, I always stay on the ground level.

I watched two different walkthrough videos and both were able to teleport to the bridge once they completed the items I listed. This is what makes me wonder if it's a glitch.

I've tried exiting and restarting the level twice and I still encounter the same problem after placing the balls in the above spots.

Any ideas? I LOVE this game and I'd be sad if this was a glitch.

So, you are referring to "Hill's End" level and yes, this is definately a glitch. I tried it just now and run into the same problem (I can't remember if it happened the first time I played it though). Restarting the game didn't help.

However, you can actually get to the bridge without going through a portal. Just climb the hill that is near to the bridge and walk/jump on the ridge to reach the portal that you are supposed to come out of.

If you can't do the above, try the following (I saw a guy doing that in a walkthrough): When you pick up the glowing ball, don't drop it rigth away on the rain rocks but instead pass with it through the portal that is nearest to the bridge, which will now hopefully lead to to the portal you want to go! You can then leave the ball on the rain rocks and then go through the same portal again to cross the bridge. Really weird behaviour... I don't know if it was random or if it had something to do with this sequence.

Thanks, Psyonicon. I will try the jumping first, and then passing through a portal with the glowing ball to see if it makes any difference. So frustrating.

Dude, thank you. Spent hours thinking I'm an idiot. There's no way I could figure out the bit with the glowing ball through the portal myself. And it is def a bug, because if you put the ball on the rocks only reload will make you progress further.
