Was this capable of getting fixed? It's rather minor, but the blond haired gnome has dwarf resistances and skills and the brown haired dwarf has gnome resistances and skills.
You can delete those pregenerated characters in the tavern and roll new ones with their face, better stats (or use an character editor to give them the exactly same stats) and the races the faces belong to.
I'm specifically referring to the blond haired gnome whi wears the blue clothing and the brown haired dwarf who wears yellow clothing. I deleted the initial characters - moving all the equipment to the last two so they could transfer to the new ones before I deleted those. The minor conundrum I'm bringing up can be seen on archive.org. I made new characters with both those portraits, but when you look at their character sheets, you'll notice the racial names are correct but their racial resistances and skills are mixed up. The gnome has 20 poison resistance and Spot Secret Doors and the dwarf has 20 magic resistance and Danger Sense. This really doesn't matter as I could just ignore what it says at the top of their character sheets and treat them like their underlying racial type, but it's necessary to keep in mind at character creation, as the "dwarf" would be a better thief or mage and the "gnome" would be a better fighter. The point of this post is to find out if it's still like this in GOG.
I had no idea there were save editors for this game. Are you using any right now?
