For some reason when I try to go to darkside the game prompts me to hit ctrl+f4 +enter I try to hit that and I just hangs on me. So weird because I could do it the last install.

Sounds like an odd bug to be sure. Have never seen that one. I would probably try and re-install the game and see if it happens again.

This is for the CD version only, it is the command that tells DOSBox to switch discs. But sometimes it doesn't work. I remember some other threads here about how to fix it, but I can't find them right now.

In a pinch, you can run the floppy version instead (both versions are included from GOG), but it does not have as much voiced dialog and saves may not be compatible between the two versions.. There may be a way to fix the disc switch issue with some edits to the configuration file or something. Anyone else know how to fix that?

... wait, when you say you "could do it the last install", do you mean you could cross to Darkside, or you could hit ctrl+f4+enter and it worked?

EDIT: Looks like it might be just CTRL+F4, without the ENTER, to switch discs? I also have a vague memory of someone saying you need to hit the keys and then wait and do nothing else for a few seconds, or it will screw up. Or maybe something about hitting the keys in a specific order? Try some different combinations. You should be able to get it to work.

Yes, the correct procedure is to press Ctrl+F4 together. Release them.
Then wait for a second or 2 and press Enter. Wait a few seconds.

Thanks, ZFR! Much more concise and informative than my rambling, sleep-deprived post...
