I tried to install MM6 using the GOG downloader on Windows 8 HP Pavillion and it won't launch. It instead tries to find an app for the installer. Is there no compatible version of MM6 for Windows 8 online, or do I need to run it in compatibility?

Okay it installed the downloader but now my problem is that it freezes at the end of installation and I can't finish.

Usually it runs out of the box on Windows 8 and it's also officially supported by GOG for this Windows version.

Download the file directly form your game shelf and disable the GOG downloader if still activated (on the right side of you game shelf entry).

The file name is supposed to be: setup_mm16_limited_edition_2.0.0.41.exe
Start it and grant administrator rights if asked or run it explicitly as admin by right-clicking it and selecting the option to run as an administrator.

It's also recommended to use [url=http://ttps://sites.google.com/site/sergroj/mm#TOC-GrayFace-MM6-Patch-v1.11.2]GreyFace' patch for MM6[/url], once the game is installed.
