I finished MM3 and have found Where are we. I want to use it with Worlds of Xeen. I installed it, but it doesn't find the MM games. I see links for Bards Tale series and I think some Wizardy (which I haven't installed)?

Any help? Thanks much

You have to point it to where the game is installed. It doesn't really autodetect them well if at all. Just change the path for the game you want to play and ignore the others.

WAW is really finicky when it comes to detecting the games, especially WOX. Some considerations:.

* If you're using the CD audio version, it may just not work at all.

* You need to be using the version of DOSBox packaged with M&M by GOG for the best accuracy. This sucks for WOX if you intend to use Ultrasound drivers or MIDI as non-forked DOSBox support is pretty bad.

* Create a shortcut for your configs. I recommend using DBGL to configure your games, then use DBGL to generate a shortcut, and add -noconsole to the end of the target to prevent some memory and settings confusion. Finally, point WAW's settings to the shortcut.

* WAW crashes randomly, usually during long play sessions. Nothing to be done about it.
I was able to use WAW with Might and Magic 1-5, including Xeen CD, in DOSbox 0.74. In some cases I had to tweak some settings, such as turning off the "quick memory scan," suppressing warning messages, and possibly increasing the delay before starting the scanner. Can't say how much that helps with other DOSbox forks, but it could be worth a try.

At least from my experience, it doesn't. I was only ever able to get it working on 0.74-3 on the non-CD version with -noconsole AND with some window-lock changes.

As fantastic as WAW is, it's really inconsistent. I wish its dev would smooth it out a bit, or make it open-source so the community can improve it or fork it altogether.
