Okay, we can forget about 9, but where is 7 & 8?
I played 7 - For Blood & Honour, and it was fantastic.
I really want to play 6 & 8.
6 was meant to have an enormously huge map to explore.
Are we likely to see the other games in a complete bundle? If so, I think I'll wait.

At first I didn't want the IX too. But, if well patched (some fans did it) and then finished (an aborted project), MM9 could be better than the VII that I prefer.
Whether MM7 or MM8 are released by GoG depends on how many people are asking for it, as well as any negotiations with Ubisoft. I have no idea how much activity the Limited Edition is generating, but I still have reason to believe that both MM7 and MM8 would be considered for release at the same that Heroes 6 hits the market. That's how I'd time it to regenerate some interest, but Ubisoft likely has a different plan for the RPG series.
Ubisoft has a plan for the RPG series? Maybe they have plans to profit from the classic games somehow, but apart from that I have my doubts.
They'll come, eventually. DaveO is probably right in that either these games or Heroes IV will be released around the time Heroes VI comes out. However, I doubt they will be part of what is already an incredibly generous bundle, so you are probably good in buying it now, not to mention if they were pack ins then GOG would include them for free like Betrayal in Antara.

However, VII is kind of the last good Might and Magic game. VIII is super easy because of Dragons and early game level 50 party members and a lot of the design aspects are pretty weak. IX is a hilariously unfinished trainwreck of a game that manages to become playable with the fan patch but really not much else. It's not the absolute worst game in the universe as some seem to suggest, and it had some good ideas, but it's still not a very good game. A curiosity piece, more than anything.

EDIT: Wha? The original post is a year old.

Was a review, they don't appear in the forums until someone replies to them.
I would love to see 7 & 8 & 9. I never seen any of them. I would definitely buy them!

I loved 3-6!!!!

Thank you!

I remember playing 7. The goblins near Harmondale really demonstrated why early game first impressions meant everything; MAN that part was fun, with the for that had to be sieged and reclaimed so that you could waste goblin stragglers with reckless abandon. Plus, I always loved playing goblin paladins and dwarf mages.

Man, I miss playing that game.

Would you settle for just 8?

NOTE: I have no interest in number 8, so I didn't download the game myself. But it appears to genuinely be offered as Freeware.

[EDIT] Just noticed the file claims to be only 36kb, so I dl'd it. Its just a pic...wtf??!!

Ubisoft releasing a game from a somewhat popular series as freeware? Something doesn't sound quite right about that.

There are a lot of other free games on that site, but yeah...Ubisoft ain't that generous.
I bought the Platinum Edition and it comes with 6 7 8 and 9, but I would much rather have a digital copy of them.
I played MM 3-6, 3 on the Amiga 500 a long time ago. I would also appreciate seeing MM 7 and 8 here on GOG, I would buy them in an instant.
