Made it to the small house in the Pit. Now, there is a problem. It seems that the wizard, or whatever he is, just can not be killed to take the cube. What happens in my software is--everytime he monster is hit, he resets. So he is always a full stregth while your heroes are being erraticated. He only shows damage to the last hit he took. When you come back around to the next attack, he is at full strength. You can never win. I'm I missing something? I suspect a glitch in the software.
The guy is healing himself. You have to be quicker than the heal or dispel his magic.

He can be killed; I've done it in multiple games.

As Masterluck says, Blaster Guys have the Power Cure spell. Use your highest damage sources, use all your buffs, etc.

What is your party composition?

I have successfully done it every game (whether Light or Dark path), without dispel magic. Especially Light ... the buffs make for really fast attacks. I have never had a serious problem with the Blaster Guy.
had trouble with him on my first play through, to be fair I was like 7 years old and didn't speak any english but if you can get your hands on protection from magic his pretty easy to deal with. if you can't, well then you'll have to grind a bit I guess.
He can also cast Grandmaster Level Hour of Power, btw.

Actually, you don't have to fight him at all. If you have a Robber with Grandmaster Steal, you can use Invisibility and then pick his pocket to get the item you need.

If not, the best bet is to use Grandmaster Level Protection from Magic. It will eliminate the danger of being Eradicated, but even then it's gonna be tough.
I've never been eradicated (or even seriously harmed) by either of the two Blaster Guys.

Then again, I probably had GM Protection from Magic active, as I typically do at that level, anyway, so perhaps that's why.
I am near the end of the game, have all my characters in wet suits but, can't get them to enter the water for the shoals task. I am wondering if this a software glitch, or is something undone in the game that causes this?

From memory you need to do a little jump to enter the water (default key is "x" I think). Or you can cast fly and land in the water. Then you head to the west end of the map in Avlee and swim/walk like any other map transition.

It is probably this. The normal water boundary that keeps you from wandering into deep water and start drowning may still be there even with wet suits on; just jump over it like any other time you want to cross deep water.

Thanks, that worked..

In this case I had the Knight, Paladin, Cleric, Socerer.
I had won the game earlier with a Knight, Archer, Cleric, Socerer. Didn't have this problem with that line up.

Ah. The Paladin is going to be a lot weaker at ranged combat than the archer, and maybe a little weaker in melee because he doesn't typically dual wield, but I wouldn't have expected much difference between the groups, otherwise. Depends on how you were outputting damage, I guess, since archer can do better spell damage than the paladin, but paladin can heal.

If you had water walking active, then you'll walk right past the barrier. I'm not sure what else might have occurred.
