I bought MM7 on GOG and installed it on Thinkpad Carbon X1, Windows 10. If I just run the game, it works fine(full screen, cuz windowed mode doesn't run). But whenever I press Alt+Tab to do something else and then switch back to MM7, the screen display will split into two halves left-and-right, the right half is all Dark, and the whole interface of MM7 is on the left half with the same hight but width shrinked to 1/2, and the color get's all messed up. I've posted a screen shot of it. Does anyone have the same problem? Can you guys run MM7 on Win10 64bit? How do you do it? Thanks a million MM7 folks.
I really miss this game from almost 16 years ago.

Try to press F4, the game will change to windowed mode and then press f4 again - everything will fix up.
This is a problem with MM7 and MM8, actually. If you press F4, it tells you your desktop must be in 16-bit mode, which in the year 2018 is kind of odd. Did some Googling, and I found out that all versions of Windows from 8 onward only allow 32-bit color depth.

If you take the recommended action of running in compatibility mode with the 16-bit reduced color option, you can F4 in and out of MM8 but if you alt-tab to another window, the game crashes and gives the "desktop must be in 16-bit (32K or 65K) Color mode in order to operate in a window" error message.

I hate to say it, but I think the only way to do this might be to roll your OS back to Windows 7 (and honestly, M$ should've let that be the last OS they released).
