Hello, I re-started my MM7 run and chose the dark path because murdering angels is fun! I have read that GOG's version of MM7 has a glitch where the lich jars in the wall of mist will not appear. Is that really/still the case? I only have GOG's game, no patches...

I played the GOG version without patches and the lich jars were there.

Unfortunately, I'm playing MM7 right now, and the lich jars are not in the chest in wall of mist. What shall I do?

just use a save editor to make your characters liches then, you could also spawn the jars in but that more complicated.

Aren't you supposed to raid Thunderfist Mt anyway for the lich jars? I seem to recall that being where the quest sends you, since the Warlocks were refusing to sell for some reason.

I think good and bad alignment are sent to different locations. But that created a glitch that was never fixed. I do Thunder Mt early for Water Master. I get them then to avoid the problem.

There are the lich jars for the Lich promotion on the Dark path, and there are the Soul Jars quest item for different people depending on whether you're playing Light or Dark. They are not the same items.

But the quests accepts both which is part of the glitch.

That reminds me of another glitch: when chest contents are being rolled, the slot for the item in the chest is allocated. If the chest is very full, some of the items might not appear because there is no room in the chest for them. I don't remember the specifics, and i don't recall whether it can affect quest items, just that it is sometimes an issue.

Yep. Some of the chests need to be opened twice for the spill over. But no quest items come to mind.
