Hi! I wanted to play some MM7 again today and it doesn't work. I got a new computer a few months back but I'm still running Win7 64bit, same OS that I had on my old computer where MM7 worked.

The screen just goes gray and there's an error message that pops up only when I've pressed ctrl-alt-del. I've tried running in Software mode fullscreen & windowed where I get some kind of DDRAW error... Anyone know how to fix this? :s
Are you running as admin?

Huff: Are you running as admin?
Yes of course :)

This is one of the errors I get:

DDERR_unsupported in file:
D:\mm7Src_eng\MM7\code\screen16.cpp at line number: 2331

Anyone recognise it?

All I can find is this 'official' tech answer from Mastertronic (which contains the same error message) Hopefully it may help or at least point you in the right direction to solving this

• I have a Voodoo Rush based video card (i.e. Intergraph Intense Voodoo 3D, Hercules Stingray 128/3D, etc...); an ATi video card; an Intel i810 onboard video chip or a Trident chipset based video card in my system. When I launch the game, I receive the error, "Direct Draw Error DDERR_UNSUPPORTED in file D:\MM7\MM7\Code\Screen16.cpp at line number: 2669" and the game goes not run. How can I get the game to work with my Voodoo Rush/ATi/Intel i810/Trident card?

You can download a program that will automatically fix this problem by clicking here. Or you can do it manually by following the steps listed below to correct the problem:

Click on the "Start" button, choose "Run", then type in the following command: "Regedit."
Then click on "OK."
Go to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\New World Computing\Might and Magic VII\1.0" folder.
Double-click on the "2dacceloff" setting (second from the top).
Change the Value Data setting to "1," then click "OK."
Exit the Registry Editor and start the game.

It was already set to 1 but when I saved it in the regeditor the game worked afterwards, thanks a lot dude!
