Hello,
I downloaded patch 1.11.2 and it found the install-directory where M&M6 is installed automatically and also installed itself there.
Then I tried to test if the patch was applied correctly by entering a building and exiting it.
If I assume correctly, I should be facing away from the door when the patch has been correctly applied?
Sadly, when I exit a building, I am facing the door in the angle in which I looked at it before entering, so I assume that the patch hasn´t been applied correctly...
Can anyone advise on this and any other ways to test if the patch has been applied correctly?
Thanks in advance.

If you want to face away from the door in mm6, you have to go into the mm6.ini file, and find the line that says "flip on exit=0". Set it to one. You will now leave the building facing the opposite of how you went in.

I'm about the end of my wits.
Having done several installs of MM6 in different Wine wrappers, I can't seem to shake this bug;
About 50% of the time when I try to get out of turnbased mode, it will instantly go back into it. After some experimenting I have found that pretty much all keystrokes tend to get registered twice. Hitting space near a fountain will usually give +10 hp instead of +5. Hitting 'a' will usually result in two characters acting in rapid succession. These things make the game near unplayable :/
After doing about 10 different installs with different Wine engines I have been able to narrow the bug down not to the emulation but to the install of Grayface 1.11.2. I can't seem to find older versions of Grayface patches to test nor can I find the Hook# to disable whatever fix is causing this.
Hopefully someone has encountered the same and was able to get around it, either Wine or Grayface related.
[edit] Two hours of testing and fiddling later, it looks like I have found it.
Disabling Hook110 does the trick. Looking at the source, this seems to be either a fix for 'Window Procedure', or one of the Strafing Rounding Fixes.
If anyone else happens to run into this particular problem, adding the following to mm6.ini will probably fix it for you:
[Disable]
Hook110=1

I have installed my CD version of MM6 on my laptop with Windows 8.1 and have tried to download and unzip the GreyFace patch, using winzip and WinRAR but am not able to do it. I keep getting failures like "access denied", and my Norton Internet Security program scans and says it is unsafe. any suggestions on how to add the patch? I have the GOG version, but if I understand these posts correctly, the patch is not included.

Hi, so I used this patch on a game I started to fix the circus bugs and non consumable scrolls bugs. Now I cant buy spells with my guy that is furthest to the left, who I happened to make my guy with higher merchant skill. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hello, I have a problem with the mouse look option in this patch. Everything worked fine for a few days, but now when I have the mouse look enabled (by hitting Caps Lock), the cursor suddenly disappears. The game is still playable, it's not a huge glitch, since the cursor works only as a crosshair anyway, but still... Anyone else registered this problem?
I use GreyFace 2.0 on MM6.

I installed the patch and ran the game once to get the init. I've got a Sound folder with the mp3s in it and a file called Audio.snd. I only copied the mp3s to Music. Playmp3s = 1 in init, but no sound effects play in game, no attacking, or movent, only the music.

I do not see an edit button, so I just need to post some good news! I got it working!
The steps I had to take are as follows:
1. Install the game via the gog installer.
2. Start the game via Quick Start in New Game to initialize the MM6.ini and close the game.
3. Install the Grayface patch, I'm using the English one.
4. Create a New Folder called Music and Copy all the mp3 files from Sound into it. I didn't touch Audio.snd.
5. Change playmp3=0 to 1 in the MM6.ini.
...And voíla! It worked with both music and sound active. I dled the mouse look configuration off the Grayface site, but instead of overwriting the MM6.ini I went into the file and changed mouselook=0 to 1, quicksaveskey to 116, and quickloadkey to 119. I don't use alwaysstrafe, I find it's faster to turn and run in another direction then turn back to the original facing.
When using the MM6controls.exe open up the Manual, it's a pdf file, and go to page 18 to see all controls while changing them.
Hails! Cheers!
