I noticed my reputation has been dropping and I have no idea why. When I finished the quests of the six lords and promotions I was saintly, About halfway through the oracle quests I noticed that it had dropped to honorable. I thought it was kind of odd since I haven't killed any peasants, sold bones, healed at the temple of baa etc. I've finished the oracle missions and am now working my way through the control center and my rep has dropped to vile. The only thing I can think of is that I've left a tew missions unfinished. Could that have anything to do with it?

Some troll must be downrepping you ;)

Seriously though, the reputation naturally changes to average over time (thus you can't maintain saintly forever, it will drop to normal).

As to the reason it dropped to vile, you might have done some quest that caused it. I remember there was one which you could do over and over again in some dungeon, but I can't remember where (sorry, played this long ago). I used it to get the negative reputation needed for dark promotion...
You're thinking of the hall of the firelord. That and the candelabra for baa are the only ones I know of that drop your rep. It wound up being monstrous by the time I finished so I just destroyed the planet (that'll teach 'em). When I wanted to bring it down so I could master dark I'd just go slaughter a town lol

Reputation does slowly shift to average over time.

If your reputation is low, then donating at a temple can help improve it.

Also, there is one "quest" in the Supreme Temple of Baa, where you swear allegiance to Baa at some stone face in return for loads of XP or something, and completing it gives you a huge reputation decrease. It can absolutely destroy your reputation, especially if done with all 4 characters.
Certain quests, most notably the candelabra quest early in the game, lower your reputation.

You also lose reputation by selling bones.

Donating to a temple of Baa reduces your reputation to neutral.

The head of Baa in the Superior Temple in Kriegspire (NOT the Supreme Temple on Hermit's Isle) also lowers your reputation, but you have to go pretty far out of your way to get it.

I'm sure that there are other ways to lower your reputation, but those are the ones I use to become Master of Dark Magic.

You should also know that exposing Silvertongue's treachery to the High Council can raise your reputation from Respectable to Saintly.

If I remember correctly, Loretta Fleise's "Fix the prices in every stable" quest also slightly lowers your reputation.
Reputation always drops when you continue to play after the quests... you can not change it.. its the security for not to reach high score's like playing 3-4 years of game time waiting for respawn times of creatures and getting more hit (fame)..
Because the score is calculating by your reputation and fame of your finish.

The best if you can.., just do the lowering rep.s first, as well getting rituel of void... Kill all for hit x's and in the end make the quests... Then you will see saintly end... By the way if you are angelic just take one of the Bards NPC (their home behind the training hall of freehaven) then you rank will go one up ... to saintly.

Getting the Ritual of the Void is one of the last quests you can do in MM6. At the very least, you have to do the Council quests, expose the traitor on the Council, and retrieve the Memory Crystals and the Control Cube before you can get the Ritual of the Void.

In short, you're better off becoming a Master of Light Magic (if that's what you're going for) before you get the Ritual.

And there isn't much reason to stay Saintly after you've made everyone a Master of Light Magic who can be.

Finishing Saintly brings you no score points and no skill either... We all know that.., but finishing saintly is an honor for some players like me !...

As you see in my youtube, i finished in one year of time Saintly - over 450 Lvl - 39 Lord Arena Victory and what the game gave me as a score : 326.661 points... On the other side i finished the mm6 in 9 days and 1.039.000 score i got... Easy finish without too much effort... actually i can't find the save of it so i'am not certain what was my reputation in the end... But soon i will again play for 1.000.000 score then i see...

But for me to reach the end Saintly and over 450 Lvl. is an honor.., you may think that i'm old-fashioned minded... weell actually I am...
