So after adding that patch I cannot fly at all.Before I used it was the page up and insert keys i think but they no longer work.So I sifted through the .ini and it says mousewheel to fly but that does not work either.
So I tried to change the =1 to =0 in hopes the old keys would allow me to fly but nothing is working.
So then I d/l another of his files the controls one and I tried to use that as well but I think it is impossible since I assume he remapped it to the mousewheel which is not recognizing it.SO when I tried to remap the keys it asks for old key I tried those and entered a new key but it is simply not doing anything.
Am i going to have to reinstall the game now to get it back to normal?

you can use the verify/repair option in galaxy to get the hotkeys back, it will probably also remove some parts of the patch but ya know still easier than reinstalling.

Tried that did not work .I ended up uninstalling and even that has not helped and yes I rebooted PC just to make sure.I have no traces of the old update patch file unless it has added some registry keys that I cannot delete and the game is forever ruined idk.Even on new install I did the check/verify and nothing.
Drove me nuts for about 20 minutes though since I forgot about having to change color mode to 16 bit..../sigh.

you might have to go into the game files and delete em manually after the uninstall since the uninstaller doesn't recognize and remove some of the patch files

This is a long shot, but have you double checked that you are eligible to fly? - that after casting the fly spell, your chosen pilot has enough juice left in the tank with which to take off.

This also means, if you use a fly scroll, you must have selected somebody with spell points to use it.
