Hi,
I have problem with MM6 : when I launch the game it has blurring lines all across the screen. I had the same problem with other gog games but they had the dosbox configuration that allowed me to solve them. I can't find it in MM6 and I don't know what to do.

Thanks
have you tried installing the grey face patch? I know it helps to fix weird glitches in MM6, there is also a higher resolution patch which might fix the lines as well, you can find the both in the Sticky post with links to unofficial patches
As seanlou said, install the Grayface patch. Since I can't post links, Google "Sergey Rozhenko aka GrayFace Homepage" and install the MM6 patch there.

MM6 is not a DOS game, so you can't find DOSBox settings because there is no DOSBox installed with it - MM6 is a native (if dated) Windows game. Just remember, after you install the Greyface patch, you will need to set PlayMP3=1 in your MM6.ini and copy all songs in the Sounds folder to a new Music folder, otherwise you will have no music while playing.

Thank you, I will try whay you suggest.
I will let you know if it works.

Thanks
i installed it but I didn't understand how to change my resolution or play in windowed mode. In the readme files it says nothing. May be I am too noob...but I couldn't find it and the game starts with the same problems

(I'm using macOS and Wineskin Winery, and it has always worked fine for me, patch or no patch. I don't know what operating system you're using, you haven't shared much of anything.)

Have you tried the Support section for MM6? You can find the link to it in your account games library. Clicking on any game in your accounts game library (of all your purchased games) will reveal more about the selected game. Within that info there will be a "More v" button below the title of the game, and that is indicating it is actually a menu when clicked. One of the options in that menu will be "Support" for people who purchased the game on GOG and that is the link. Here is what I found for MM6 when I did that:

https://www.gog.com/support/might_and_magic_6_the_mandate_of_heaven

There's lots of information there that might be pertinent even if you got your game elsewhere because a lot of it is general troubleshooting information that should be done for any non-working game (or program). I've heard when other people contacted Support using their form that Support has typically given a link to that information and said to go through all of those suggestions on that page first. So you might as well do that first before trying to contact them.

And of course, it helps to give more details, even when you post in these forums. Operating system version and such.

It sounds like you think it's something similar to what you've already experienced with other games. However, nobody really knows anything about your personal experience with trying to get this game working or your computer, nothing other than what you type here. So, it's not so much about being new (or "noob"), but instead people not knowing what to guess and probably not really into interrogating you for basic info.

The more you share (by what you type) about your setup and what you have tried (and what differences resulted, if anything), then the more likely someone will be able to relate. The more likely people will find something in common with their own experiences. I think you've got to try to stir people's memories of their past experiences. This is especially so with something like this that they probably didn't have to do more than once to get it working, and that could have been a long time ago.

Just some general tips.

If you do figure it out, then it would be nice if you shared that information. You're likely not the only person who will stumble over this, whatever is going on. I know I don't always ask, and sometimes give up instead.

Thank you for the answer.
The problem is still unresolved because i tried the Greyface patch (even gog support suggested that) but the game works with the same graphic problems.
I have decided that I will play something else and that I will think better before to buy something old on gog again.
I had read the support page you linked, tried what it says but without success and that before to write in this forum.
In the past I had the same problem with blurring lines on the screen but they were all dosbox game and I coul solve launching then in openGL mode and windowed. The problem here there isn't any settings to adjust.

Did you contact GOG's support team, or only read the help articles? The support team might be able to provide a fix, or at least indicate a workaround.
I contacted support team but they couldn't help me.
It seems I will not play this game ;)

If the game isn't playable, and you bought it less than 30 days ago, then you can ask support about getting a refund.
I bought it some time ago during some sales so I can't ask the refund.
I always loved Gog but now I have to avoid to buy old games from them because they don't work on my PC it seems. Even because to be honest Gog Support didn't make much effort to help me and that deluded me a bit.
A sad day...

But I don't understand why all other people play without problems...

That is strange, and I would be sad, too. :-(

I works for me and I'm using macOS instead of MS Windows. Very strange. It might work out sometime later, maybe when something about your setup changes.

Definitely reason to try out what you purchase sooner rather than later. I know I have a lot I've yet to test, but I did test out the ones that mattered most to me immediately, because I was excited to try them again. If the others don't work out, then it's not much loss since I likely bought them on sale on a whim.
Hard to help if you don't provide any information (OS, HW, when have you last updated graphics drivers etc.), but if games work for you in windowed mode, try that. Just start the game up and then press F4. If it works, you may want to get the resolution patch from GrayFace's site to make the window larger.
I play on a Windows 10 PC with a GTX 570 and latest drivers. Windowed mode doesn't work but anyway in greyface site the link for HD graphic is broken, I had already tried to download that.
