Hi,
I have been playing MM6 for some time, I spent approx. 10 hours in this game and there are some questions, that came on my mind. To be honest, I expected a little bit more from this game. By most of the players, it is regarded as the most favourite game from the whole set, but it has absolutely the same rules, mechanics and style of storytelling as previous games. Only pictorial 2D graphics is missing. And the amount of enemies in this game is sometimes frustrating. But still, I really enjoy this game, as I enjoyed previous games (I have played MM3,4,5 and 10 so far). I would like to ask You a few things, if You don't mind. Sorry, if they were solved before and I didn't noticed them.
My characters are on the 13th level and I have two knights (sword + bow, axe + bow), cleric (mace, spirit and body spells) and sorcerrer (staff, fire and water spells).

1) Is there some way how to create more potent potions? The first thing I lose during dungeon figting is mana and I spend weeks with sleeping only for recovering of mana. And my potions give 10 spell or hit points, which is quite uselles in this stage of the game.

2) I explored first four regions (Sorpigal, Ironfist, Bootleg bay and Misty island) and cleared approx. one half of dungeones in there. Is it normal, that I struggle in dungeons, that are ranked as "medium"? Or is there something wrong? I have problems mainly with spellcasters (like in the Temple of Baa). Propably there is a problem with my low resistances to magic and elements, but I didn't find any possibility, how ti raise them significantly so far. Armors with additional resistances are sparse and give just a few points on resistance.

3) How many skills should I try to raise to Mastery? I am not sure, to which level will I raise during gameplay and I wouldn't like to end, because I will have six skills on average level, which will be useless in the latter stages of the game. Should I rather focuse on just one or two skills?

Thank you very much for Your advices.
Ondrej

1) You can mix potions to get more powerful ones (or blow up if you mix the wrong ones).
Don't worry about resting time (unless you have no food), travelling or training takes far longer and you have plenty of time to finish the game.
Items which regenerate HP or mana are useful, water magic is useful both for enchanting items and faster travel times.

2) You can mix potions and search for locations for a temporary boost, even better is killing the enemies faster.

3) All skills which are useful, especially all casting skills, bows and your melee weapon of choice. It's your decision in which order you raise them, you can always get more skill points by training.

You don't have to burn through all your Spell Points as soon as possible, especially in the beginning of game. Use bows, use melee weapons.

Many dungeons in low level areas aren't low level themselves. I was visiting Temple of Baa after I was done with Corlagon's Estate (and thus was done with sorcerer's promotion quests).

Did you do any promotional quests? Good thing to do sorcerer's promotional quests you get from Misty islands. You can visit Free Haven zone for quick and easy Knight's promotion too. Then you can carefully go to Frozen Highlands and do Cleric promotions. It will be quite a smooth ride after that.

And you will finish game at high enough levels so you an master most of the skills you want. When you will play longer, you will see which skills you will want to focus on more. This game has respawns, so you will have ways to get more experience and levels.

1) As stated earlier, you can mix potions together to make stronger potions. White and Black potions are the strongest you can get. Save before mixing, especially when experimenting, because an incorrect mix will explode and do damage. Failing to correctly mix stronger potions does more damage, and can eventually straight up kill or eradicate the mixer. As long as you mix the correct types of potions, you are assured success (so mixing a single red and a single blue potion will always work, for example).

2) Don't be surprised if you struggle in some dungeons. If you are having a hard time, then leave and come back later. Spell casters and ranged monsters can be a big issue, especially if you aren't sure how to deal with them. You can try fighting in real time, using corners and dodging back and forth to evade incoming ranged attacks.

3) Pick a weapon skill (or two, if the character can dual wield the weapons), a shield if your off-hand is free, and the strongest armor your character can wear. Raise those to Master. A two handed axe for one knight is good, while the other dual wields spear+sword. Your cleric should master all Self Magic skills (Body, Spirit, Mind) in roughly that order. Your sorcerer should Master all elemental skills (Fire, Air, Water, Earth), with Earth being last. You only need 4 skills points in Air to be able to master it, so bump that up and get Expert/Master when you can, then work on Fire and Water next (both have useful spells). Both your Cleric and your Sorcerer should Master Light and Dark when they have the chance.
For miscellaneous skills (ex. Merchant), you can generally select just one character to Master the skill, and have that character be the one to take the relevant action (ex. your Master Merchant should always be the one to buy and sell things at shops, while your Disarm Master should always be the one to open chests). Since your casters have magic skills to raise, I recommend having your two knights work on the misc skills.
You may want to Master Learning asap on all characters for the extra experience (the skill isn't retroactive). Don't bother raising Diplomacy at all, it isn't worthwhile.

Iirc, you'll probably be in the 70-80 level range by the time you finish the game.
Ok, thank You very much for all your advices, I really appericate them.
