I was running around in one of the pyramids touching all these crystals not realizing what they were doing. After a while I noticed they were making my characters age, and I thought, no big deal I will just go to that island with the youth fountain.

What I didn't realize is that the crystals, I guess, were making time go by, and my characters are NOT aged unnaturally, so the fountain doesn't work. They are all about 156 years old, and I had saved my game.

Do I give up and move on to Might and Magic 4? I don't want to restart I have too many hours into this.
That's excactly what happened on my first run.

If the fountain doesn't work there probably isn't any in-game solution, but it may be possible to fix with an hex or save game editor.
Ill make a new post asking for editing information. I dont see any other way.

Touching those crystals ages the party naturally, permanently. Unlike most other cases where the party is aged, in this circumstance the aging cannot be reversed. WIthout an older save you are out of luck, unfortunately.

For what it's worth, I've previously referred to this map from GameFAQs, which shows which crystals are unsafe to touch.
You can replace your old characters with freshly created ones, they'll go up in levels very fast especially if you use the resources and knowledge you found previously. I guess some of the high level hirelings should survive old age but you can do without.
