Has anyone had trouble getting MM2 to work. I just bought the 1-6 all load and play fine except for 2 which pops the dosbox screen and then dies.

You can try two things:
1) use graphic mode setup and try another settings (i.e. I use overlay)
2) edit dosboxMM2.conf file (in your MM2 folder) and turn off fullscreen.
If this doesn't help you need to post a bit more information (OS, graphics).
Thanks for the quick response. Neither of the suggestions have worked. I am going to try it under windows XP as Vista causes trouble sometimes. I will let you know if it works.
Lou
MM2 works fine in XP - Thanks for your help.
Running the game as administrator in vista also fixes the issue.

I had Vista for whole week and then kicked it out permanently. :) I use XP x64 and have no problems at all.
Anyway, have fun :) I'm a sucker for anything Might & Magic related so I'm glad you got MM2 to work.

Yep - I love MM - Just saw they have a new MM for the DS - will have to keep this on the radar until the price drops - heard anything about it?

Clash of Heroes? I guess it has more in common with Puzzle Quest than MM ;) Anyway I won't be playing it unless it somehow finds its way on PCs.

I had exactly the same issue. I solved it by right-clicking on the MM2 icon and choosing "Run as Administrator" option.

Like Thiev said, it has more in common with puzzle games than with the rest of the Might and Magic series. The story and characters come from Heroes of Might and Magic V's story, but it isn't necessary to have played that game's campaign to appreciate the story.
That being said, I found Clash of Heroes extremely fun and rewarding. The battle system is clever and exciting, one of the few battle systems that can make even the most mundane fight fun. The story is nothing spectacular but it manages to keep your interest throughout. You may or may not be turned off by the game's anime presentation, but it really isn't too distracting, and this is coming from a huge anime anti-fan (I just don't get it.)
Don't get the game if you're looking for MMX, as it is a completely different experience from the RPGs of the series, as well as from the Heroes games. However, it is amazingly fun in its own right. If you don't trust me, check out the reviews: it got surprisingly great reviews across the board from most of the reputable sources.
I can't encourage this game enough, though! It was a really fun experience.

Thanks - I plan on picking it up when the price drops to an acceptable level.
