I am playing the GOG version of MM2 and my characters cannot get into Corak's cave at all, even with an admit 8 pass. I get "an invisible force repels you." at the cave entrance, not inside. Is this a glitch? there is no clue how to get into the cavern itself. thanks in advance.

I can't recall the problem, but maybe only your Cleric and Rogue can enter, since the Cleric's class quest is in the cave?

i seem to recall being able to explore most of the cave with my normal party except the main crypt/vault area which is cleric/robber only with admit 8 pass

yeah the south central doors in the cave are the ones that block you with unallowed party members or missing pass
sadly my current party is still struggling through middlegate and cannot as yet get to the cave :(

Actually, if you are familiar with the game, your beginning party could, with some help from easily obtainable hirelings, handle any challenge the game has to offer. The Cuisianrts are beatable with some help, and Mr. Wizard is actually surprisingly easy to recruit.

My party was repelled by the "invisible force" while still outside in area C2 at the mountain in the middle of the water they never even make it inside.

Are you sure you're at the right place? The "invisible force" message is something you get when trying to enter the cave at 10,8 (on the island) while not being the chosen one.

Corak's cave is the one at 5,11

i just got there and made it inside the cave with my newb party. its at 5,11 on teh c2 map

wait wait wait..... the mountain in the water god no wonder your repelled that one comes much later


follow road from town north then west and when road turns north again go south
the west branch of that path leads to fountain
keep going south and follow the open path to the cave

Thank You! I must have been pointed the wrong way or something when I mapped that spot, never found it in the clues or walkthroughs either, yay no I I can go back to the game!!!
