I'm finally tackling the first Might and Magic and I'm not having an easy time with it. Still, after so much suffering, my party is around level 6-7 and I'm starting to get into it.

II'm trying to map the dungeon of Dusk, but I'm having troubles with all those unforgiving traps. I've found out that the acid pools can be avoided with the Levitate spell, so I guess that there is also some way to avoid showers of stalactites and specially the psychic blasts that kill a character. Sadly, I couldn't figure how.

Could anyone tell me how to avoid the traps or how to advance in the dungeon? Having characters "dead" is a hard punishment for me at this point and I cannot afford it.

The psychic traps are easily nulified by the mage spell Psychic Protection.
If your mage is too low level to cast it, donating to temples also casts this buff.

Stalactites' damage cannot be reduced or nullified. Try to get around them or over them using the Jump spell if you can.
