I have to choose between:

Flamberge +1: damage: 14 (1)
Halberd +2: +3 speed, damage 12(2)

What does the 14 mean? from 1 to 14? Because it's certainly not 14 fixed damage.
If it's (1-14)+1 vs (1-12) +2 then that would make the halberd +2 better, but I simply don't know the formulas.

Honestly I'd take the Halberd just for the +3 Speed. Speed is awesome and essential for the tougher enemies so that you get a chance to attack first.

Yes. Damage x means (1 to x).
The + bonus also increases your chances to hit.

So in this case the +2 is better.
