Finally got to level 7 spells in MM1 and I'm curious why Divine Intervention has such a high fail rate.... does anyone know what can be done to raise the success rate of the spell?

Are you casting the spell during battle? In MM1 and MM2, I believe the spell will only work during battle, and only once per battle. (At least that's how it works in MM2; I still haven't played MM1.)
