A. Is it possible to turn down the sound internally at all? The loud beeps are bothering people and I hate turning down the main volume.
B. Is it possible to start it windowed? I know I can window it by alt tabbing out, but this resizes other windows and this is a pain.
C. Is it possible to resize the window after alt tabbing out?

I figure the answers to all of these are "No, this was 1987 you silly butt!", but I hope to be wrong!
Not sure about A, but what concerns B and C you can change all these parameters in DOSBOX config file to this game.

That sounds lovely! How might I do this? I am not a very smart person with regards to this kind of thing.

Open DOSBOX config file in game directory (dosboxMM1.conf or something like that), seek the line:
fullscreen=true

change it to:
fullscreen=false

That's for windowed mode.
Thank you!
Regarding A you can switch off the PC speaker in that file too. Find the line that says pcspeaker and set it to false.
Late reply I know, but:

Yes. In the DOSBox configuration file, look for a line that says "windowresolution=original". Change it to a desired resolution, e.g. "windowresolution=1024x768". You should stick to 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions, but can pick anything you want. Be sure to save the configuration file after editing!

EDIT: To be clear, you have to set this before running the game. You can't manually resize the window once you have it onscreen, but you can tell it ahead of time what size you want.

All sound can be turned off in-game by pressing 'V'.
