My antivirus detected a virus in C:\GOG Games\!Downloads\temp\1207658916. I deleted the file and then scanned the entire !Downloads folder and it came back clean. I then deleted the temp folder. After a littler bit, it came back again. Inside are 5 files; goggame-1207658916.hashdb.download, goggame-1207658916.info.download, goggame-1207658916.script.download, MM7.exe.download, and Readme.txt.download. I scanned this folder alone and it came back clean but this just seems odd. Has anyone else encountered this?

Assuming you got the game from your GOG account, it is likely a false positive. They appear from time to time.

To be safe, you can scan your whole drive and see if anything comes up.
It is a GOG game, I just never noticed a temp folder in that folder before. Having lost a PC to a virus a few years ago, I get a bit nervous. Thanks.

Hmmmm, may have something to do with the pending GOG Galaxy update. Started getting popups about Might & Magic 7 installation failing - out of space. It's already installed and I have about 500gb on my drive free. Looked and saw there's a 1.2a update or somesuch to prepare for cloud saves.

I don't know what anti virus you are using, but I do know that McAfee has a hissy fit with MM7. If you do have McAfee then you need to turn off real time scanning to be able to get the game to work.
