One of the reviews claims that the GoG version of MM6 has in-game advertising and will use an internet connection to download additional unspecified bits. Can anyone confirm or deny?

It's the first time I hear something like that and I highly doubt it. I'm half-way into MM6 and didn't noticed anything.
But in case I'm wrong (or blind ;) ) you can always use firewall and block MM6 executable from connecting internet.

Same here. I think this is utter BS.
The end boss is a huge can of Cola. Other than that I've noticed nothing.

*dies laughing* Thanks all. It sounded highly unlikely to me, but wanted to make sure. Time to put down my $20 for the whole shebang.
