My party is a PACS and I've been training my paladin and archer to become masters in swords in order for them to dual wield. I looked at the prerequisites for mastery in swords and it said that I needed cavalier rank, which I found out was only for knights. Can I teach my paladin and archer mastery sword and have them dual wield without a knight in my party?

yeah when you do the promotion quest the other classes are honorary cavalier
(same goes with other classes quests)

When your party does any of the promotion quests, all members of the party receive ranks - either true ranks (with their benefits) for eligible class or honorary ranks for all other classes. Honorary ranks are enough as prerequisites for quests.
