I am very thankful that GOG are continuing to make the MGS1 PC version more improved and I'll be very happy to purchase it. Since the announcement though I was more interested in MGS2 and I've played it both from the GOG version and the fan patch. It would be great to see the GOG version get changes that the fan patch implemented such as better support for Triggers on Xinput controllers (as well as lowering your weapon that some Direct Input controllers can do with L3) and better adjusted 16:9 ratio as the current GOG version has a slight stretch to the screen.
