Any idea how to disable the on start check for the "Epic online service?"

I know you can cancel out of it but there doesn't seem to be a setting to turn it off.

I'm happy for folks who want co-op but I am not interested in it and dislike a default check to any kind of mother ship server.....

That would be nice to be able to not see this pop up, indeed.
It shall be an opt-in option, since MD is a single player game in which a co-op mode has been added. (Anyway, IMO, unless co-op game is selected, connection to any web/network service shall not occur at all.)

I'm affraid that unless a lot of people complain (or someone reverse engineer some library and recomplile it), we have to cancel connection again and again...

Hi :-).

I've been doing some testing and I think I've discovered a way to avoid the online check, it doesn't even show-up for me anymore...

You need to delete a specific file:

1. Go to installaion folder, then navigate to - /Medieval_Dynasty/Plugins/OnlineSubsystemGOG/Source/ThirdParty/GalaxySDK/Libraries

2. Delete (or backup somewhere else, just in case) the "Galaxy64.dll" file.

I've ran the game multiple times now and loaded saves, not had the Epic popup once so far ;-).

Hope that helps :-).

Edit: Just to be clear, I DO NOT play co-op or use Galaxy, I use OFFLINE INSTALLERS only. How this would affect Galaxy installations, I have no idea.

I've tried this trick, and I can confirm the popup do not appear after I've renamed the file.
I also ran the offline updater for version 2.3.1.1 without any issue. Game is starting and saves can be loaded.
I don't use the GOG client to start the game; I play solo and offline.
Well, it looks like we can kiss goodbye to that option, perhaps I shouldn't have posted about it in a public forum... Seems they've forced it upon us by causing the game to crash if that file is altered.

So annoying being forced to exit something we don't even use.

DRM-free is a little 'suspect' in this case it seems...
