Hello fellas

I just bought mohpa
While playing however my fps are locked to 30, i cant find a fix anywhere, i would appreciate the help
I cant play it this way it gives me a headache

I don't remember the game having a lock, last time i played the dvd version it worked fine 90fps+

my specs

win7,64bit
r9 390 8gb
i5 4440
16gb ram
So far i have tried installing/reinstalling the game via gog galaxy or manually

Changing graphics all on low, playing with vsynch on/off

and using the console command set com_maxfps 0 or 90 or 60 or 40

Nothing so far the game is locked at 30fps no matter what i do, it only goes up to 60 during the loadscreens.

Please help :)
Ok, now this is super weird

I just installed my DVD Directors Cut edition on the same PC

60fps solid and steady

Something is wrong with the gog version apparently

If i don't hear a solution soon, i'm going to try and get a refund.
Alright, support gave me a solution, adding this line in the games config file in (documents/ea/mohpa/newconfig)

set r_fullscreen 0

Which forces the game to run in window mode, fixes the problem and the game runs at 60fps now.

Problem is that you cant fullscreen it now :P, alt+enter doesn't work, neither maximizing via task manager

The Game if free on EA's Origin right now (again) and this was the only solution that worked for me.
You can download Windowed Borderless Gaming from here to make it fullscreen.
http://westechsolutions.net/sites/WindowedBorderlessGaming/download

Just open the game click on the Windowed Borderless Gaming icon click on "Add window ( F3 )", change back to the game, press F3 and it should go fullscreen.

It's an awful workaround, but I couldn't find any other solution and playing in 30fps is even more awful.

There's also another way to fix this. I've looked at your post hoping for an answer. The window mode fix was fine but it crashes on me. I found another site called pcgamingwiki.com and they add the answer I wanted but it was hard to understand to get it right. For those who got the game from bought or got the game for free from Origin or bought it in this site, there's a way to remove the 30 FPS cap. There was a potential fix by adding " set com_maxfps 0" to the config file but does nothing and was it spammed to many posts. It was the correct answer but the wrong cfg file.

Step 1. First you find your Medal of honor Pacific Assault's Configuration folder (Users\Documents\EA Games\Medal of Honor Pacific Assault)

Step 2. Open "newconfig.cfg"

Step 3. Go to file and select new

Step 4. Add set com_maxfps 0 and save

Step 5. Named it config.cfg At the bottom where it says "save as type" change that to all files so that it will make the custom cfg file. After that put it somewhere like in documents, desktop or whatever tickles your fancy.

Step 6. That same folder where where "newconfig.cfg" is located add your new cfg file and load your game and enjoy

I did more testing and made it through the game with no problems. However people who have versions 1.1 or 1.2 will enable the 30 fps cap. I tested numerous times. Had to uninstall and reinstall medal of honor to revert back to 1.0

Its seems version 1.0 is the best when it comes to high frame rates. I fix I posted works but whatever EA did to will still show up as 30FPS. I game will try to decide to run at 30 or higher depending on your PC hardware. I have a shitty computer so I get 40 to 50 frames without patch. After patch, I get a static 30 fps and then it jumps to 41fps and stays that way until I look at an area with more geometry lines. V-sync will absolutely enable 30 fps cap. I do not recommend that

Do not patch MOHPA if you have the dvd. If you did and have this annoying 30fps cap, reinstall your game and don't patch it

The fix applies to 1.1 and 1,2 or you bought off GOG or Origin (These will automatically have 1.2 installed). If you did, applied this fix mentioned above. This fix also fixes the frame drop issue during gameplay. The 30 fps cap was bad enough but it also dip below 12 fps even if you a decent computer to run it. After applying the fix, your 30 fps will not drop (unless you have a crappy computer) and enable a higher frame rate based on your refresh rate on your display.

This is based on what I tested and found. I could be wrong, so I'm not perfect.
