...jesus EA really tried hard to secure this game from being tampered with. You can't even mess with stuff in the console, everything I read that talks about altering or cheating in the game, you have to edit a shortcut on your desktop. I would expect just being able to edit stuff through the console would be fine but I guess not? Guess that's why there's so few mods in this game.

The game is from an era where most shooters did not have developer consoles enabled by default. Examples: all the quake titles, half-life... at a loss for more examples but the point still stands.

There are some mods for the game but I guess it wasn't a really popular title with the modders. Many where still knee deep in total conversions for older games like Half-life and Deus Ex. Depends on the community really, and the quality of the Software Developer Kits. Coming to think of it, perhaps there were none for MOHAA.
