Hi, I wanted to ask if anybody noticed strange behavior of the mouse turning sensitivity in MDK2. My problem is that when I play as Kurt everything is ok, but when I start playing as Max or Dock the sensitivity is getting way to low and I have to turn the slider in the options menu to the maximum. Anybody have an idea what could be causing this kind of behavior?
Try changing compatibility to windows 98/me or 95 and see if that helps. If it doesn't could you post your system specs, OS and what mouse your using?
Hi,
first of all thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the win98 compatibility mode gives Me a "Abnormal termination" message box, and xpsp2 compatibility works just the same as without it.
So, My specs are:
Asus F5SL-AP-0989C + Vista SP2 + external usb tracer mouse
This isn't a critical problem but it gets annoying to change the sensitivity just to play Kurt ;)

Its a odd problem as it only happens on one character. I'm not sure if this will work but you could try forcing v-sync using your graphics card control panel and set that just for the game. The thinking behind this is other people have had problems with mouse lag and this solved it, they did seem to have it all the time though but it can't hurt to try.
Also if your mouse has its own mouse drivers either disabling or uninstalling them may also solve your problem. You can reload them again after you complete the game if this is indeed the problem.
I played just a little bit with v-sync on but the problem seems to minimized. In that I mean that the difference in the sensitivity got smaller but no null. Maybe it's just My imagination but to test this further I will have to get more time. For now I'm going sleep. I'll try to play a little bit more tomorrow and if so I'll write You here about how the mouse handles in different scenarios.

Did you fix this problem in the end? Does you game works fine now? I still have the problem and it's annoying
Well unfortunately no. I sold My old laptop and the new one doesn't suffer from this problem. Sorry to disappoint you.
I searched a little, but no solution.
Options-->higher turn speed
the best solution I found so far.
I cannot find the cfg file, if I did, I could change the mouse turn speed from there
I have the same issue whenever I play MDK2 on my desktop. Curiously, the problem does NOT spring up on my laptop.
I think i found a solution, there is file opt.lua, open it with notepad, there is an option mdkSetTurnSensitivity
mdkSetLookSensitivity

change to fit your character ( kurt woun't have suck problem )

I set the value 2.0 and incredibly the sensitivty bar i nthe options increased TWICE but things didn0t change.
MAx can't turn properly.

Max turns works!!!!
I have changed the mdkSetTurnSensitivity to 4.00000.
You should try it too
Game must work at 60 fps. If you have a gaming monitor, then set the screen refresh through the windows display settings to 60hz. In the settings of your videocard drivers in the game profile set to vertical sync for the game always on.
