Hey I'm running a windows 8 pc, for some reason there is a huge amount of time between turns and whenever I change screens (going to planet tab, or events like a new colony or GNN report) as well as giving mouse commands (selecting fleets, moving sliders etc) I was wondering if there was anyway to resolve this!

Thanks for reading!

EDIT

I figured out how to increase the cycles in DOS box, I set it to around 30000 with 0 Framskip, no positive of what all that means but I did it by hitting crtl+f12 a bunch of times for those who are similarly unfamiliar with DOSbox

30000? Rather than hitting crtl+f12 all the time, edit ./GOG_FOLDER/MOO_1_2\Master of Orion/dosboxMOO1.conf. Under [cpu] change cycles=fixed 7000 or however many cycles you like. Frameskip should already be set to 0.
