I'd be really willing to buy this (even though I still have and play my boxed copy) if there was a change in the last patch for DOS that allowed for HUGE galaxies. I remember reading in the instruction manual that the DOS version limited the size to "LARGE" and not HUGE.

Please confirm one way or the other. My decision rests 100% on this feature.
The GoG version lets you play small, medium, large, cluster and huge galaxies.

wow, thanks. Looks like I'll end up buying the pack then. Cheers.
For anyone that had the game before they had to use a dosbox. The original from the CD had MUCH larger galaxies for each galaxy size, for instance my GOG dosbox version's Huge is about as big as the originals medium or large sized galaxies. Personally I really think this sucks, there is way too few star systems in this newer version.
Enots: You can run orion95.exe from the install folder, as well as the Dosbox version, and verify what's been said by the previous users.

I don't see anything in the manual about the galaxy size being different or the maximum possible size being limited in the DOS version, and having played this back when it first came out, I don't remember there being any difference between the two versions then, nor can I think of a good reason for there to be any difference between the two.
