I have been playing Master of Orion 2 fairly regularly (at least once a week) on my Win10 laptop. Suddenly today (5/25/2020), I began to see the color degrade similar to how a super-VGA screen would revert to 256 colors and look all warped or marbled.

I have gotten it 5 times in a row now. Always when going into the Leaders screen and moving to "Ship Officers". I attached a screen capture.

One of two things occur. Either a complete crash to Windows, or, a horrible sound like a radio tuned poorly plays very loudly (and I kill it).

I can navigate the other screens with no issue.

I rebooted and still get it.

I played a different GOG DOSBox game with no issue.

I found a Support item about modifying an Xbox recording setting but it still occurs.

Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks!

Have you modded the game? Noticed that Captain Altos has 6 skills listed, which is certainly not classic.
