It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

When downloaded not using the gog downloader:
opened DMG
dragged folder to my harddrive, opened it up, got the below message

Note, this issue didn't seem to occur using the GOG Downloader

Nothing to useful to add here, but I just love how the MacOS subtly tells you what you should do with downloaded files.

"You really ought stop eating potato-chips all day, you may suffer from a heart attack and die!"
"Mac" is damaged and can't open this file. You should move it to the trash.
"Recent user command doesn't make any sense, you are nuts and should move to an insane asylum."

I get the exact same message (OSX 10.8, MOO DMG 1.0.0), redownloaded, same issue. Only MOO2, MOO1 is fine
Had the same issue, even after redownload. Downloaded the GOG downloader, went to download page again, switched to downloader mode. Works (or they fixed the file).

Had exact same issue, used the downloader mode and now they both work.

You can find the workaround in the FAQ

- Go to Applications -> Terminal
- Type in:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine
but don't press Enter.
- Drag the application to the Terminal window, this should add the path.
- Press Enter.

It's really annoying how much they are making us use their Gog downloader now. It's as if they say wtf we will make them do it that way by making any other way not work.

Does the gog dl'r annoy others as much as it does me?

I wouldn't touch it with a 10 FT pole. Then again I don't have issues just using the browser.

The other day I saw a blue suggest using the downloader and posting the workaround above. Later they removed that post? Trying the downloader may give you different results. The better approach is to work on the CDN. Which GOG said they were.
