Hi Folks! My first post on GOG.com...a friend of mine has been raving about this game for ages so I decided to have a go...

Anyway! This is pretty important....When I'm making a custom race and it asks me to choose a race picture, if I choose the Meklars for instance, does my race replace them in the game?

And is there any way to mod in a way to have other pictures? I'd actually quite fancy having the actual amorphous humanoid shape thats shown when you first hover over the custom button!

No, the AI races are randomly assigned depending on the number of opponents you selected.

Secondly, I'm not sure about whether you can edit the pictures as I'm not familiar with MOO modding.

Yes, you are playing as Meklars, but with your own stats. No "default" Meklars will appear as CPU player.
