This from the 2011 question, here's that answer:

"If you are using Vista/7 and have installed in a UAC enabled location (aka Program Files) then you can find them in the VirtualStore folder, located in "C:\Users\JMich\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Master of Magic", substituting JMich with your Username."

When I search, under C:\Users\[my name]\AppData\Loca\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86), GOG.com doesn't show up. I can't seem to find it. There's no option to change or even find where the save files are stored. I've checked out several posts about where to find save files, and while I've found some - 3 under Cloud - I can't access any of those files in the game.

So frustrating, anyone can point out what I'm missing?

What version are you playing? I am playing the Classic one (not the one by Slitherine) and the save games are at GOG games\Master of Magic\cloud_saves (there's a .gam file for each of the nine save slots).

I'm using GOG Galaxy and save files are located in (depending which version of the game I am playing):
C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Master of Magic\Master of Magic Caster of Magic DLC
C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Master of Magic\Master of Magic Community Patch
C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Master of Magic\Master of Magic Official Release

Try looking in the directory where the game is installed. I had a quick look at my installation, and it looks like everything is just sitting in the one directory.
