Heroes can't make a spell instant!!!

Have to get the base skill up to 3750.

Squaring your skill value, it seems you have put over 10 million power into skill. I think all you need to do is put a paper weight on Enter and wait through 600 more turns or so.

Ahhh. That explains both of my casting delays, while you had it after one End Turn. Thanks! Now I have truly instant cast SoM.

My score was -328 after getting base spell skill up high enough. The score screen was flashing green instead of the usual background, and it didn't display that score in the High Score listing at all. I guess the game doesn't like negatives too much. XD

Also thanks for the heads up about the cap on city income. It makes sense, and I imagine it doesn't come up all that often.

For fun, here are two of the artifacts I was sold by the end of the game:
(Sword) Blade of Blood: Vampiric, Lightning, Haste, Phantasmal

(Axe) Phantastic Axe: +6 attack, Destruction, Doom, Phantasmal

Your score problem sounds very interesting. I know it wasn't very high, but can you figure out how it was computed? What exactly did the screen say about the time/game year?

As I understand it, you start the game with x points for time (I don't remember how many), and each turn subtracts two points from that total. Check out the score screenshot I posted above, then tack on another few hundred turns to get the instant SoM. I was getting 4-5 spell skill per 3-4 turns, so I probably took another 300-400 turns from when I posted those screen shots.

I didn't look over most of the score screen after the instant cast, just the new final score. The background flashing green at me instead of being its normal non-flashing mottled blue was rather distracting. ;)

I still think you should get a t-shirt. I mean, you ought to get something.
