While I don't have Massive Assault, I can indeed confirm that Galactic Assault works so far on my setup (Wine 1.7.44 under Wineskin, OS X 10.10.3, Mid-2013 11.6" MacBook Air). The only extra thing I installed was devenum in Winetricks.
I did set UseGLSL=disable to boost performance a little, and I got some minor graphical anomalies (e.g. the background to the menu screen not rendering properly when brought up in-game) that seemed to have cleared up when I turned off Vsync and ratcheted down the AA and AF settings.
