Been playing this for a little while, Up to level 15 or 16. But At some point in the mid teens, finding all the spells in a level becomes increasingly difficult. The puzzles go from logic to frustratingly cryptic. And I haven't a clue really. After clearing out the level I can wander around for ages and not see any way to locate those spells.
Does anyone have any idea where a spell list might be? I can't locate anything of the like on google and it's really bugging me at this point!
Kill other wizards, they drop spells you're missing.

You can find a full list of the 24 possible spells in the manual (p.13 of the PDF). Bear in mind that finding the spell is only half the battle -- a lot of the funner spells (meteors, volcanoes, undead armies, mmm...) can't be cast until you've built a castle of size 5 or better, so you still have to acquire sufficient mana using the more basic fireballs etc. before you can pull out the big guns (which can be a real b***h in the late 20s levels, some of which begin with wyverns already flying around in them!).

In the early levels, not all the spells have yet become available (e.g. the mega-powerful 'global death' spell doesn't appear until you reach the end of level 20 or thereabouts). The 'spells found' percentage score in the level performance statistics applies to all the levels completed up to that point, not just the level just completed. So if you're not seeing a 100% 'spells found' score at the end of a level, it might be that you've actually found all the spells that were on the level just completed, but missed one in an earlier level (e.g. because you'd hit the space bar as soon as you saw the 'world restored' prompt, without doing a mopping-up operation first).

Killing other wizards is one way to get missing spells, but a far more usual way to do so is to use the standing stones and statues. These show up on the map as black blinking dots, and flying past/through them triggers magical events, including the appearance of spell pots. Of course, you might just as easily trigger the appearance of a major group of enemies (e.g. undead armies, beeswarms, or a squadron of wyverns), or a meteor strike on that location, but you just have to take your chances. (I've found it useful to equip the accelerate or teleport spell just before I approach a statue, so I can make a quick getaway if need be.)

That said, the terrforming spells often seem to be hidden in similar landforms, e.g. I once found the earthquake spell hidden in a crevasse, and the volcano spell in the crater of an old volcano.
