Back in the day, when you installed the game from the CD you could go into the .ini file and change some settings to get some hidden maps originally intended for tournament play. Being Gog installs the game, I can't find any actual install folder that would have the .ini file. Does anyone know if it is possible to access the max 2 .ini file locally?
wow never heard of this, interesting... did you ever find out?

I lost my CD so I'm trying to patch the original music from disc image ISO
I don't know about tournament play (source?), but it looks like you can access all of the 32 maps (compared to the 27 usually available) by editing :

MAX2.INI :

[OPTIONS]
world=31

(they seem to go from 0 to 31)

Then during the map selection screen, if you have picked a "wrong" map in the options, it will "select" another valid one. Just "accept" it, and it will still pick the map chosen in the INI, for instance world=31 is the "HOLLYWOOD" map. (So, exclusive campaign maps, rather than tournament play maps ?)

Can do this for custom scenario building too !
