Just finished this game (in Boxer with MT-32 roms) and absolutely loved it! It also crossed my mind that what they called "Virtual Theatre" back then is called "Sandbox" now. A fantastic concept people love to praise today, but fail to recognise in this game back in a day and continue to not recognise today.

To me it was a quite interesting experience to trace people's and creature's routes in my head while I was planning on some task spanning multiple screens, plan encounters, evade, eavesdrop, chain commands to my partners.

The game surely has it's drawbacks, but the concepts it's trying to explore are extremely curious! Just make sure you play in DosBox or Amiga emulator, because ScummVM's path finding and sound driver issues are infuriating.

NPC schedules can add a lot of atmosphere to a game. This was featured in RPGs too. Ultima series was well regarded for it, but Arcanum used it too to nice effect. It can mean more things to go wrong when it comes to bugs and fixes, but it really is worth it for the atmosphere and roleplaying or game mechanic options it can give.
