main updates land on GOG at the same time as on Steam.

We sometimes push beta releases that are Steam-only. They appear usually 1-2 weeks before main update and are meant for early testing and feature preview (usually more buggy and unfinished). Unless you want to be more involved in testing, GOG version will be fine for you.
