I can't seem to get rid of my old save. I checked %APPDATA%\.LUFTRAUSERS\, but I simply got an error saying there was no such directory. Reinstalling does nothing. Any idea where it could be saving to?

Make sure it's not hidden - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-7/
You can also try fo find it, just look for any "LUFTRAUSERS" file or folder.

I already tried that. No luck.

Edit: I took a look at it with Process Monitor. I can see it writing to AppData\Roaming\.LUFTRAUSERS\, yet nothing else can see either the .LUFTRAUSERS folder or any of the files it creates.

Edit 2: Checked with a Linux install, it was right there where it was supposed to be. I guess this was just some obscure Windows bug.

Are you running the game as admin? Then it's likely saving under the admin profile and not yours.
