Yes, they are missing, all Rangers.
Wood-elf ranger is what I prefer.

there is a dwarf, human and gnome archer... how does Elf ranger get left out?

... fine, I will play Stellaris until this gets fixed
thanks mate
The archers are just fighters that pick specific feats, I think at least, so you could do it yourself for an elf, I have. Would be nice if the builds could be modded and added to though, in some text file.

We're not talking about archer, but ranger.
An archer is a pure warrior, a ranger is who is able to go the farthest by his own means.
A ranger is often skilled in archery because, to go far, you must be light, and so you must not carry your food, but hunt it, too they hunt because rangers may go behind enemy lines and enemies do not allow them to take at their stores...

Elf archers are not left out, you can build one using a customed Warrior class.

Yes, there are several classes that are missing, that would be wonderful to have, such as Ranger, Sorcerer, and others.

However I was responding to "there is a dwarf, human and gnome archer" with: you can make an elf archer using fighter class, as that is what the dwarf, human and gnome archers use. Also I personally think you can probably pick feats better to suit your own style than the built in builds do, however those are nice for new players who don't want to think about all the feats overly much, and just get on with playing the game.
Same here on many accounts. I also wanted a Ranger (among other things), so I ended up going with a Fighter with Ranged feats, so effectively an 'Archer'. It's the closest I can get for now I think, maybe not exactly the same thing, but I seem to be pretending well enough in my head since I keep referring to her as my "Ranger". :)

I'm pretty sure more classes are coming, and that will be fun to try out later!
