Can't tell if this is local Co-Op only or if it has Online ... seems like a cool game mechanic but sadly I has no local friends for which to play with.

The co-op is local-only, and it seems there are currently no plans to add online co-op to the mix.

The game is perfectly playable in single-player, with an AI pet replacing your co-op partner, but it is a lot more fun to play with someone, has to be said.

Noticed the same complaints in cynicalbrit reddit thread... is there nobody in the PC crowd who has friends/kids/spouses etc anymore? I for one am more than happy to have a local coop game (there are really few lately).

Would be much better to have both kinds of multiplayer, I agree, but as a developer myself I know that effort for that would be much much more.

Played this game with 2 friends so far (on my big screen in my bedroom, using my laptop and 2 controllers). My first friend didn't like the game so much, but it was a blast with my other friend... unfortunately, we're both in our thirties and we have responsibilities. I recon I'll play this game with him a handful of times a year.

This game, more than any other, makes me with I knew more people living nearby with similar gaming tastes, because playing it on a big screen with someone else using 2 controllers is really really fun.

If you have someone to play with, I highly recommend it. I think it's pretty hard finding a gf that really likes gaming. I definitely never made it a requirement and sure enough, I got a gf that doesn't game.

Regarding gamer GFs - I am persuasive :) Just in the case of this game ... it is a hard game so only real gamers will appreciate it.

From a few real life tries, it is much more playable with children than wife or female friends. They just do not get interested in it.
