I recently started playing and re-configed some controls for keyboard. I changed my directions to WASD and had space as jump but thought it would feel better as W. Now, I can no longer "Enter/Select". Space bar toggles up on the menus while W does nothing(Space should "Enter/Select", that doesn't work either). I tried to reinstall the game to fix it, it didn't work. I imagine this error happens even if you switch the default controls. Luckily I have a controller that I can plugin to probably fix this.

PLEASE HELP, this game seems so fun and I want to play it. A quick fix might be to add an alternate confirm button.

UPDATE: Plugging in a controller(PS5) did not work as the game didn't auto switch to controller config.

*FIXED*: I went into the game folder and opened the settings folder, then opened the setting XML with Notepad and manually changed the code so that jump is back to space, and changed up to W.

This was so helpful I just had to log in and give thanks. We had the exact same problem and would have never figured it out if not for your post. The solution of using Notepad and manually typing it in worked like a charm. Again, BIG thanks.
